Touring from Australia in May, we didn’t understand why people kept emphasising Scottish strawberries. It all became clear when we stumbled upon East Scryne Farm and picked up a punnet each of strawberries, raspberries and loganberries (I think). Oh my word, they were sensational! We’ve never tasted berries with as much flavour. In our fantasy we’d move here just for the berries! We also took away a jar of equally delicious blueberry jam that we’ve just finished so now can only dream of a return visit…
