About us

🍓 East Scryne Fruit is a quaint little farm shop and vintage-style tea room, which opened in 2013 at East Scryne Fruit Farm, just a mile or so inland from East Haven Beach, Carnoustie.  Our tearoom, fruit farm shop & play park is open daily (10:00 – 16:30 including bank holidays) until the berries run out in September. 🍓

Our Fruit Farm Shop, Tearoom, Play Park & Goats

The fruit farm shop sells our premium produce (mouth watering strawberries, karaka berries, raspberries and blueberries, all picked from the field freshly each morning), our own free range organic eggs, delicious homemade jams and our famous lemon curd, local seasonal asparagus and gifts.

East Scryne Fruit’s vintage-style tea room has indoor and outdoor seating, where we sell an array of home-baked treats and locally made artisanal produce; our amazing team are up at the crack of dawn baking scones and cakes to serve in the café that day.

We serve whole-bean barista coffee and boast the best scones in the area along with HUGE strawberry tarts and meringues, all served with a smile.  We also serve paninis, jacket potatoes with flavoured artisan butter and frittata.

We need to mention our famous fresh fruit ice cream that we churn freshly for you in moments by blending Mackies Scottish ice cream with the fruit blend of your choice!

Last but not least, children can enjoy our play park with an enormous bouncy pillow, straw bale castle, swing, sandpit, strawberry cottage, and picnic tables. They can also feed and pet our miniature cashmere goats – we call it goat therapy, it’s good for the soul – for children and adults of all ages!

We have indoor and outdoor seating and welcome walkers, dog walkers, cyclists and breastfeeding mums.  We have plenty of free parking (including space for camper vans and visitors who need room to manoeuvre wheelchairs and buggies), are dog-friendly, wheelchair accessible and cater for vegetarians, vegans and food intolerances.

We’re sorry, but we don’t offer indoor or outdoor table reservations (they’re available on a first-come first-served basis) or pick-your-own strawberries.  The very best of our berries are harvested each morning for the tearoom and for sale in the shop, where we also sell jam making berries.

We look forward to welcoming you soon, and invite you to read more about our farming practices and history.  If you’d like to stay up to date with news about when we open and close, and any special offers you can sign up to our newsletter, or follow us on one of our social channels .
